Hakim resides in Queens, NY, and has played an integral role at ACE as an Action Fellow and Youth Fundraising Advisory Board member since 2016. Prior to ACE, Hakim worked on tobacco control advocacy. This previous work in public health coupled with his experience at ACE fuels his passion for environmental justice. Hakim’s advocacy work has included facilitating workshops on climate justice for teens and supporting and attending protests and rallies, including the 2019 Global Climate Strike in New York City. Hakim also attended high-level events such as the UN Paris Climate Accords Ratification Ceremony and the 2018 Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco. Hakim is a recent graduate of York College City University of New York where he studied Economics.
